Downside of Transparency

One of my lecturers defined journalism as a glamorous profession, one that is linked to lifestyle. A few weeks ago, I had to learn that there is also a downer side to this profession most especially when one has to report facts as they really are. Smart journalism requires basic or diverse knowledge of media law and ethics. I read a book whereby one journalist claimed that he was too tired of telling the truth as it landed him in problems. Where does this statement lead us to?
However much society needs journalists, we also have to take care of our lives and mind other people's feelings most especially when covering scandalous stories.....
