Social Success

If I was president, I would have made good use of social media! But, I am not.

Rwandan (Paul Kagame) and Nigerian (Goodluck Jonathan)presidents are living my dream.Watching them tweet, responding to issues affecting their nations is quiet impressive! It seems it will not be long before other presidents embrace social networks. 

Uganda’s leaders are more or less singing to the same tune as facebook has become a very effective tool of communication. Internet providers are working harder than before reducing prices and increasing packages changing the communication perspective of our country. 

During February elections, I can’t begin counting the number of times I received text messages and facebook recommendations from particular candidates pleading for votes. To be honest, it played a great role. If this trend goes on, upcoming elections and national events will be catered for by social media.
